大多数高考英语考纲词汇集，只列了单词、词性和词义，没有例句和辨析讲解。笔者试图在考纲词汇的基础上，给出例句或短语懂你英语懂你英语：高考英语考纲单词举例distinguish district …，并对个别重点词汇作出讲解、辨析，希望对老师的教学和学生的学习有所帮助。

知识在于积累。在没有特殊原因的情况下，我计划根据考纲词汇懂你英语，每天坚持讲解几个单词，不断更新。

根据自己的情况，不忙，可能一天多更新几次，忙很了，也可能过几天才能更新。

在讲解过程中，错误在所难免，希望读者在发现错误的时候，及时在评论区给予批评、指正。

distinguish v.

1. distinguish between A and B ; distinguish A from B.辨别，区分。

He doesn’t seem able to distinguish between what’s important and what isn’t.他好像不懂得权衡轻重。

2. 看清，听出，认出，辨别出。

I listened carefully but they were too far away for me to distinguish what they were saying.

我小心地听，但是他们离我太远，我听不清他们在说什么。

3. distinguish yourself.突出自己。

She distinguished herself in the exams.她考试成绩突出。

district n. [C]区，地区，区域：

She doesn’t live in this district. 她不住在这个区。

a shopping district 商业区

disturb vt.打扰；弄乱：

I won’t disturb you again unless I have to.

除非必要我不会再打扰你了。

Wind disturbed the water. 风吹皱水面。

dive vi.& n.跳水懂你英语，潜水，俯冲：

He dived into the river to save a drowning child.

他跳入河中救一个快溺死的小孩。

divide vt.分，划分，分裂，(数学上)除：

Let’s divide ourselves into several groups. 我们分成几个小组吧。

Eight divided by four is two. 8除以4等于2。

division n.

1. 分开，隔离。

The division of Germany after the Second World War.

第二次世界大战后德国的分隔。
